Carpets are designed with today’s interiors and lifestyles in
mind, while retaining the rich heritage of an ancient art and
lifestyle. More than 100 hours of exacting labor goes into every
square meter of carpet’s creation. The skill of our experienced
teams of weavers imparts their own personal touch to each design
as they handknot every row using the traditional looped knot.
Thousands of knot and hundreds of hours give each and every
carpet its own unique quality and special individual nature. It
is a dynamic reminder of living history and a link to the
timelessness of a distant way of life.
Carpet weaving has been practiced in
Tibet for many centuries. The cornerstone of this tradition is
the unusual knotting technique still used by our weavers and the
lanolin-rich wool is renowned for its strength and luster. Only
the best Persian carpets are made with the Tibetan wool during
the good old days when Persian trade turquoise for wool.
We offer a broad range of designs,
both traditional and contemporary. Our distinctive carpets are
made of Tibetan wool or we can be blended with New Zealand wool.
Pure silk yarns are also used either to make pure silk carpet or
in certain percentage to make a wool and silk carpet. Tibetan
looped knots are used at 60, 80 and 100 knots quality.
Eco-friendly colorfast dyes are used. Vegetable dyes are also
available upon request in many colors.
